Two plunges will take place at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at the local Sandy Point State Park.
Each plunge participant receives a warm 15th anniversary sweatshirt and a special giftâ€”in addition to enjoying a fun filled day that contributes to the Special Olympics Maryland.
The Polar Plunge is considered the coolest winter experience, where those who pledge $50 can quickly jump into the chilling Chesapeake Bay. This unique fundraiser is a part of an event that provides each plunge participant and onlooker the perfect essentials to make this yearâ€™s PlungeFest 2011 stand up to its name. The event is from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
