Online PR News – 15-January-2011 – – Annapolis, MD – David Serenda, General Manager of Mr. Basement, will be leaping into the Chesapeake Bay on January 29, 2011 as a participant in the 15th Annual Polar Plunge that benefits the Special Olympics Maryland. Two plunges will take place at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at the local Sandy Point State Park.

Each plunge participant receives a warm 15th anniversary sweatshirt and a special gift—in addition to enjoying a fun filled day that contributes to the Special Olympics Maryland.

The Polar Plunge is considered the coolest winter experience, where those who pledge $50 can quickly jump into the chilling Chesapeake Bay. This unique fundraiser is a part of an event that provides each plunge participant and onlooker the perfect essentials to make this year’s PlungeFest 2011 stand up to its name. The event is from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.

There will be a heated tent, live music and entertainment, vendors, food, sand sculptures, and plenty of kid friendly fun.
