Agency’s Holiday Initiative Surpasses Original Goal and Delivers Holiday Cheer to even More Families

LOS ANGELES, December 20, 2010— Last month, LAGRANT COMMUNICATIONS, an integrated multicultural marketing communications firm that specializes in the Hispanic and African American consumer markets, announced its holiday initiative to raise funds to send at-risk families served by Para Los Niños to a theater production at the Center Theater Group in Los Angeles.

LAGRANT COMMUNICATIONS’ staff was able to double its original goal of sending 10 families of five to sending 20 families of five to the theater.

“It is indeed a pleasure to partner with two great community-based organizations in Los Angeles. I am proud of our staff’s dedication in giving back to the community in which many of us live and work. Overachieving this goal has resulted in more families being able to enjoy the theater,” said Mr. Kim L. Hunter, president and CEO, LAGRANT COMMUNICATIONS.

Families selected by Para Los Niños will attend the Circus INcognitus performance at Center Theatre Group’s Kirk Douglas Theatre at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2011 and January 22, 2011.

Their generosity will not only allow our families to spend some quality time together, but expose them to the amazing arts and culture available in the Los Angeles area as well,” said Gisselle Acevedo, president and CEO of Para Los Niños.

The agency’s holiday initiative is just one of the many yearlong community service projects the firm has identified to mark its two decades in business. On Sept. 1, LAGRANT COMMUNICATIONS celebrated its 20th anniversary. Over the course of the next year, each employee of the firm will also volunteer 40 hours at a not-for-profit organization whose mission is health care, education or arts & culture in Los Angeles, Dallas or Princeton, N.J., for a total of 840 employee volunteer hours. Employees have the option of volunteering at the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Center Theatre Group, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Para Los Niños, or Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).

For more than a decade, LAGRANT COMMUNICATIONS has been able to support its corporate social responsibility initiatives and surrounding communities through in-kind contributions, cash contributions, and underwriting.
