Mustang Cat assists in Hurricane Harvey Relief efforts by donating to Red Cross and providing heavy equipment for rescues.
Online PR News – 05-September-2017 – HOUSTON, TX – Mustang Cat, the authorized Caterpillar heavy equipment and engine dealer for Southeast Texas, made a donation of $250,000 to the American Red Cross yesterday to aid in relief efforts for those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
"This was a devastating storm that has affected our employees, Caterpillar employees, our customers and countless families living in Texas," said Mustang Cat President Brad Tucker. "While the full impact continues to unfold, our top priority has been the safety of our employees, continuing to serve our customers, and helping those in the communities where we live and work with meaningful support. Caterpillar has had a longstanding relationship with the Red Cross, and has also donated to support Hurricane Harvey relief. We know the Red Cross will work quickly to apply the relief donations they receive, helping those in our area during this time of need."
In addition to the Red Cross donation, Mustang Cat is also donating equipment and is providing employee volunteers to assist with rescue and related storm recovery efforts underway in Southeast Texas. Mustang Cat responded to a call from the Houston Police Department asking for an additional truck to help with rescue efforts and the delivery of food to isolated shelters. The company responded by quickly fueling and preparing a Cat 740B (articulated truck) to deliver a few hours later.
