New Barber Shop opens in the College Area of San Diego and brings Tradition to the area
Online PR News – 07-January-2011 – – A Brand New Barber shop just opened in San Diego's College Area's and its the only Traditional Barbershop offering services from a time since forgotten. Pappy's Barber Shop is a true man place, no cute girls or shampoo bowls here, only hot towel shaves and a real barber's cuts where each haircut is precisely finished off with a hot lather, straight razor neck shave and a splash of Bay Rum for that perfect line up and extra fresh feeling.
Barbering services are performed by Marc "Pappy" Bennett and Daniel the Barber. When asked what sets Pappy's Barber Shop apart from other Barber Shops Bennett stated "I wanted to offer a great place to get an Old Time cut and a Traditional Hot Towel/Hot Lather shave like they did when my Grandpa was a young man, you know, the Barber Shop experience that you see in the old gangster movies".
Once inside the one man Barber Shop located inside Propaganda Tattoo, you feel like you are stepping back in time. An old Barber chair from 1931, a hand held shoulder massage machine, a hot lather machine and pictures of old Barber Shops plaster the walls. Pappy and Daniel are always dressed to the T, contributing even more to the nostalgia.
Barbering done the way it was back in the 1930's and 1940's.
