Divine Expressions Christian Academy Of Ministering Arts Presents 'Move' A Recital Production

DEM welcomes you to a special Recital production on January 22, 2011 entitled ‘MOVE!’ The recital will include performances of dance, mime, music, songs and drama.

Online PR News – 07-January-2011 – – When the first group of Divine Expressions Christian Academy of Ministering Arts (DEM) graduates took to the stage in 1990, the audience was blessed by what they witnessed. Here was a ministering arts organization dedicated to worship with professional training. Since then, audiences have enjoyed artists and ensembles from the Academy as well as guest performers from across America, bringing a level of worship arts that always set the bar higher and led the way.

Founder and CEO of DEM, Rosalyn Acevedo says, “When I started DEM it was with a vision to magnify the worship of Jesus Christ in every part of this world using the Arts as a vessel. Nearly twenty years later and I still strive for improvement, never accepting anything less for the One we serve. Our Academy has one purpose, it’s to raise true worshipers of God who minister and witness using their gifts. When I see them present their best at our recital productions, in churches, at community events or even at conferences, I know it’s because their hearts are in tune with God and that makes it all worth it.”

DEM continues its annual Recital production this January at North Park University, Chicago. The Christian university’s 400-seat auditorium is centrally located with ample parking and easy access. Join us for a special Recital production on January 22, 2011 entitled ‘MOVE!’

The recital will include students performing various genres of dance, mime, music, songs and drama.
Adding to the performance, DEM’s Dance Company will present unique choreographies designed by Rosalyn Acevedo; special performances by DEM faculty, guest performers and the DEM Mime Company.

To follow the production for the new semester, DEM opens its doors for a free ‘open house’ on February 5, 2011. Members of the public can get a tour of the Academy, try any of the many classes on offer for free, talk to the faculty, meet the management and get as much information as they need.

Mrs. Acevedo states, “Registration is open year ‘round so we can meet any student’s need at any time. We’ve also recently started a new genre – Photography that I know many are interested in! We never stop improving our offerings to meet student needs.”

Classes for children, teens and adults begin in February 2011 with new programs and classes in Dance, Music, Mime, Theater, Vocals, Music Ministry Training, and Photography.

Divine Expressions Christian Academy of Ministerial Arts is a non-profit organization and is an affiliation of River of Life Worship International located in Chicago, Illinois.
