IMPACT Hopes New Hotel will Lift Revenue by 10%

IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., IMPACT Arena, Exhibition and Convention Center management, expect its revenue in the next fiscal year starting from April 1, 2011 will grow by more than 10% to Bt1.9 billion, as a result of the opening of the hotel.

The 380-room Novotel Bangkok IMPACT scheduled to open on February 1, 2011 will support the company’s business and vision to become Asia’s top five MICE venue. The new hotel is expected to generate revenue of Bt250 million in its first year of operation. Room rates will start from 2,200 to 2,800 Baht per night.

Paul Kanjanapas, Managing Director of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd, said the hotel will afford our clients greater convenience, as they will have to travel less. It will increase our competitiveness as well.

The hotel business will contribute 10% to company revenue next fiscal year, with the majority coming from MICE operations.

In addition to the hotel opening, major events such as Bangkok Motor Show, Money Expo and BOI Fair will be held at IMPACT for the first time and will help drive revenue for the company. The BOI Fair 2011 alone, to be staged between November 10-25, will comprise 84 international pavilions and over 2,000 booths. It is expected to draw at least ten million visitors.
