(PHOENIX, Ariz.) – Career Connectors and The Employment Network are community programs dedicated to helping those in career transition. Over the last two years, The Employment Network and Career Connectors have helped a combined total of over 3900 people in Arizona get back to work. They will now be collaborating and combining resources to provide even more services to the community.
Career Connectors holds monthly free networking and career consulting events for job seekers all over the valley, bringing in career transition experts, hiring companies, professional resume writers, professional photographers, social media experts, interview coaches, career coaches, personal finance coaches and other support programs to assist anyone currently in transition or looking to make a transition.
Effective January 5th, Career Connectors in conjunction with The Employment Network, will be launching a new monthly job seekers meeting in Phoenix. The Phoenix Career Connectors meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 5th, 2011, from 9:00 am to noon, at North Phoenix Baptist Church, 5757 N. Central Ave. (southeast corner of Central Ave and Bethany Home Rd).
“We are thrilled to partner with the Employment Network to support and help an even larger audience get back to work.” says Jessica Pierce, Founding Partner and Executive Director of Career Connectors (formerly JobSeekersAZ). “We have seen many jobseekers come through the doors in desperation but leave with a renewed sense of hope and with the motivation to take action. We have also seen a large number of those in transition land a new position as a direct result of connections they made at these events.”
As of January 1st, Career Connectors will have three meeting locations with at least six monthly meetings.
• Phoenix: First and third Wednesdays, 9am-noon, 5757 N. Central Ave (North Phoenix Baptist Church)
• Mesa: First and third Mondays, 5:30pm-8pm, 933 N. Lindsay Rd (Central Christian Church)
• Gilbert: Second and fourth Tuesdays, 9am-noon, 965 E. Germann Rd (Central Christian Church)
