Bay Area Fire Protection Company Uses Recent Fire as Proof that Fire Suppression Systems Work

The Bay Area fire protection company of Nationwide Fire Protection Corp. cites the November fire at a catering truck business as more proof of the benefit of fire suppression systems.

Online PR News – 28-December-2010 – – PLACENTIA AND BAY AREA, CALIFORNIA - News of a fire suppression system responsible for helping contain a fire at Sunrise Catering in Sacremento last month is driving home the fact that fire suppression systems can prevent costly damage.

"Numerous restaurants and catering services today have fire suppression systems because they are required by law," said Massoud Farazandeh, a fire suppression system professional (www.nationwidefireprotection.com/services/fire-suppression-systems-installation-service-repair.html target="_blank" class="highlight_link">http://www.nationwidefireprotection.com/services/fire-suppression-systems-installation-service-repair.html) who is general manager of Nationwide Fire Protection Corp., a Placentia and Bay Area fire protection company. "We are using incidents such as this recent fire to appeal to older restaurants and catering services who have been grandfathered in and do not have fire suppression systems that although not required by law, we strongly recommend they be added."

The fire at Sunrise Catering occurred the morning of Nov. 19 and started in one of the business's catering trucks, according to a news report by SacMav Rapid Media.

The fire originated in one catering truck and activated a fire sprinkler system (http://www.nationwidefireprotection.com/services/fire-restoration.html), which broke off four sprinkler heads and kept the fire from spreading to other catering trucks that were parked nearby under a long carport at the business. The fire destroyed the catering truck where it originated.

The business owner told SacMav reporters he believed a catering truck driver left a coffee pot on in the truck so water would be hot when work began the next morning.
These are precisely the instances suppression systems are designed to address, said Farazandeh, whose Bay Area fire sprinkler system company (www.nationwidefireprotection.com/services/index.php target="_blank" class="highlight_link">http://www.nationwidefireprotection.com/services/index.php) installs the type of system that activated to prevent this fire from spreading.
"Our Bay Area, CA fire suppression systems contribute to saving lives and preventing more extensive property damage," he said. "We hope that some of these older restaurants that have been holding out on installing fire suppression systems will take note of this recent fire and take measures to ensure their structures are safe in the event of a fire."
