Image2output have announced a free inkjet cartridge recycling service. This reduces the landfill load caused by these wasted resources

Online PR News – 22-October-2009 – – Image2output Ltd have launched a new green initiative with a free inkjet Cartridge Collection Service for recycling purposes to Epson wide format inkjet users operating in the UK.
On request, Image2output supply a suitable box for the disposal of Epson large format cartridges with labelling designed to encourage "green thinking".
When the box is full Image2output collect them and replace it with a new empty box at no charge.
These cartridges are a particularly un-green issue as they comprise a small amount of electronics as well as ink and plastic so can generally only be consigned to landfill disposal.
This initiative follows on from Image2out's now well established efforts with longer inkjet rolls ( www.image2output.com/prodlist.aspx?cat=79 45m & 60m) and custom sized widths (eg a4/a5) which have already reduced waste, packaging and costs, (by as much as 50% for plastic end caps)
Through its website www.image2output.com welcome further ideas to improve the joint green credentials of suppliers and users by reducing industrial waste volume and costs further.
contact can be made through the website enquiry form (www.image2output.com/Contact.aspx) to initiate the cartridge collection service.
Users are also encouraged to "tell a friend" about this service with the online utility at www.image2output.com/TellAFriend.aspx?p=Recycling+Service&id=2401&cat=1698
Further publicity is being promoted with posters advertising the users recycling credentials.
