Texstar Networks Launches Video Production for Online Media

Texstar Networks is pleased to announce new team member Ken Hapgood who will be responsible for video shooting and the production of web based videos for business websites and social media.

Online PR News – 13-October-2009 – – Texstar Networks, of Forney, TX, is pleased to announce Ken Hapgood as a new team member responsible for online video productions.

Ken will helping Texstar Networks with video shooting and the production of web based videos for business websites and social media.

Ken has a lifetime of experience in the entertainment industry. He started his career at 16 as a camera operator for VIP Productions in Perth, Western Australia, shooting speedway and drag racing events. While in college, he worked in a variety of roles in the live music industry and live theatre. He subsequently joined the production department of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation holding a variety of positions including, camera operator, audio operator, and vision switcher before moving to radio where he became a network and production engineer.

Moving to the US in 1988, Ken joined the team as a producer and director for LPH Productions, a television and video production company based in Tyler, Texas. The company grew from a regional production facility to one with clients from all over the United States.

Ken has produced or directed in a number of genre, including T.V programming. Some of his productions include:

* The Plant Groom with Dale, a syndicated weekly gardening and landscaping show hosted by Dale Groom
* The David Wade Show, a series hosted by gourmet Chef David Wade, which was syndicated on cable networks throughout the country.
* The Herbal Chef, an alternative lifestyles and cooking show produced for PI release.
* Wrote, produced and directed numerous national, regional and local TV and cable advertisements.
* Produced nationally televised pageants and segments for news outlets, notably Medical Minute: produced for the Trinity Mother Frances Health Network and broadcast throughout East Texas.

In addition, Ken has written, produced and directed numerous educational programs dealing with a variety of topics from new inventions to medical and industrial subjects, to training programs developed for helicopter pilot training.

As a part of the production team, Ken has developed interactive CD and DVD programming for insurance companies, marketing videos for construction, manufacturing, high tech, medical and service and support companies in a variety of fields.

Ken currently owns and operates with his partner, Karen, a successful dog training, boarding and pet grooming facility with locations in Forney and Terrell, Texas.
