Online PR News – 18-April-2009 – – THG Worldwide, Inc. CEO Jon Stromberg says the exciting finish at the 2009 Masters Tournament made for an unforgettable experience for the three dozen-plus THG clients on hand to watch one of professional golf’s premier event.
“Golf fans are calling the final round this past weekend as memorable as Jack Nicklaus’ riveting finish in 1986,” Stromberg says. “It was an absolute thrill for our clients to be there and take part.”
The 2009 Masters final round ended with Argentine Angel Cabrera besting American Kenny Perry in a Sudden Death Playoff. Caberera went into the playoff a stroke behind co-leaders Perry and American Chad Campbell, who missed a par on the playoff’s first hole to leave Cabrera and Perry to determine who would claim the coveted Green Jacket.
“We’ve provided hospitality at the Masters for the past 18 years, and this was definitely one of the best,” Stromberg says. “We’re already seeing strong interest in our hospitality packages for the 2010 Masters.”
THG clients at the event included Qwest Communications, Chesapeake Energy Corporation and Liberty Mutual Insurance. Client comments from the 2009 Masters experience with THG include:
