Rapid Intake's e-learning software, ProForm Rapid eLearning Studio, is a finalist again in the same award contest where it took first place earlier this year, beating out rivals Articulate and Captivate.
Online PR News – 13-October-2009 – – Provo, Utah - Rapid Intake, a rapid e-learning software company, took first place in the Elearning! magazine's Best of Elearning! Awards 2008 contest, announced earlier this year, beating out rivals Articulate and Captivate. It also announced today that its rapid e-learning software ProForm Rapid eLearning Studio has been named as a finalist in this year's reader's choice awards hosted by Elearning! Magazine.
“The Best of Elearning! Awards program is the only reader’s choice awards in the market, and we are excited about expanding voting to federal, state and local agencies as well as educational institutions,” reports Catherine Upton, group publisher of Elearning! and Government Elearning! Magazines.
This year, the Elearning! Magazine Group received 1,755 nominations, twice the volume of last year’s program, making each category very competitive. Fifty-five individual products will be honored, of which 21 are new to their category. “These awards continue to recognize innovation and user satisfaction across a growing number of solution providers,” cites Jerry Roche, editorial director of the Elearning! Magazine Group.
“Beating out our main competitors earlier this year was a confirmation to the marketplace that Rapid Intake's rapid e-learning software is among the best,” said Garin Hess, Rapid Intake CEO. “While we believe our tools are superior, we have respect for our rivals, and we're excited to be named as a finalist for the top prize again this year.”
Built on the Rapid Intake rapid interactive e-learning development platform, ProForm™ is a single-user desktop solution that enables designers of all ability levels to create Flash-based, interactive courses. Novice users and subject matter experts (SMEs) simply fill out form-based templates to create interactive Flash-based courses, quizzes, tests, learning games, and branching scenario simulations, while advanced users create reusable custom templates by accessing the Flash source code (.fla). All output is SCORM compliant, rich media compatible, and works on most PC and Mac browsers.
Each product named is honored for excellence, and the top vote-getter is named as the winner. “Every finalist is a winner in the Best of Elearning! Awards. Given the high volume of votes and the number of nominated products, every one of these 55 solution providers should be proud to be a finalist,” concludes Upton.
Rapid Intake's online course authoring e-learning software, Unison, has received recognition from top awards as well, including the Gold Award for Most Innovative Learning Technology from Brandon Hall Research. Unison's browser-based collaborative course authoring and collaborative course review features combined with innovative licensing structure that lets anyone in the organization use the software, sets it apart as a unique offering in the rapid e-learning software space.
The Best of Elearning! Award winners will be announced at the Elearning! Summit on November 5.
