Art tour organizers issue a call out for art pieces created by Wisconsin veterans to be showcased in the featured collection, "Through the Eyes of a Soldier".
Online PR News – 21-March-2017 – APPLETON, WI – Organizers of an upcoming May 2017 art tour have issued a call out for works of art created by Wisconsin's own veterans. Paintings, sculptures, photographs, metal work, textiles, collages, and other media are all welcome.
The featured collection, called "Through the Eyes of a Soldier", will showcase works of art created by Wisconsin locals that have served our nation. A select number of pieces will be chosen for the tour.
"Our veterans have experienced a different aspect of life than most civilians. These types of experiences shape the fabric of who we are and how we understand the world – and those experiences can be translated through art," said Attorney Peter B. Harbach, Partner at Hooper Law Office.
The featured collection will be showcased at a public open house and art tour on May 23rd, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 2 N. Systems Dr. in Appleton, WI.
The event is hosted by Hooper Law Office and Fox Valley Veterans Council and sponsored by Fox Valley Technical College. Local celebrity guests, including Josh Dukelow (WHBY), Mayor Dean Kaufert (City of Neenah), Lisa Malak (WFRV), Honorable Mark J. McGinnis (Outagamie County Circuit Court), Carol Patrizi (WHBY), and Mike Price (President, Fox Valley Veterans Council) will be in attendance and will choose pieces to receive special recognition for the depiction of the theme Through the Eyes of a Soldier. All pieces chosen for display will receive a certificate recognizing their selection.
