Online PR News – 03-December-2010 – – The Renewable UK 2010 conference and exhibition proved to be a busy and successful event for Cosalt's Renewables division and in particular its new wind energy business.
The Glasgow-based event attracted over 3000 people and many were keen to find out more about Cosalt Wind Energy - the first business to sit under Cosalt's Renewables banner.
Cosalt Wind Energy is a provider of operations and maintenance services to the UK offshore wind industry. It can deliver everything from operational engineering support, through to turnkey wind turbine installations and scheduled maintenance programmes. The company can also provide extensive health, safety, environment and quality assurance consultancy services.
During the show Cosalt was singled out by the Grimsby Telegraph and awarded the honour of having the best regional stand. The display featured a replica turbine monopole being scaled by life-sized dummies to demonstrate the installation/servicing technicians and the safety and protection equipment the company can supply to this fast growing industry.
Commented Winston Phillips, Managing Director of Cosalt's Renewables Division: "Renewable UK was an excellent event for us. The show's visitors were clearly interested in finding out more about our business and it has helped to reinforce our presence in the sector.
"We have invested heavily in our wind energy business in 2010 because we believe we are uniquely placed to service the market as more investment comes on stream. As Europe’s leading provider of critical safety equipment for the marine, industrial and offshore markets, we already have branches located in close proximity to the UK’s key wind turbine development sites off the Humber, Wash, Kent and the North West coastlines."
