Online PR News – 18-April-2009 – – Tustin, CA 03.10.2009: The Glenn Llopis Group today announced that Glenn Llopis, widely known as ‘the Opportunity Expert” is to begin participating as one of the content partners for the U.S. arm of the Small Business Toolkit.

The Small Business Toolkit is a joint venture between IBM and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank. The Tookit provides free tools and resources to small and medium size businesses, and in the U.S. is designed specifically for those operated by women and minorities.

Mr. Llopis, business author, serial entrepreneur and Founder of the Center for Hispanic Leadership (CHL), will be addressing subjects ranging from digital business, to focusing on issues and opportunities tailored specifically to minority audiences.

“There is just such a synergy between what IBM and the IFC are doing with the Small Business Toolkit, and what we’re trying to do with CHL. Our focus has been principally in empowering and training the Hispanic business community for leadership roles in society,” said Llopis. “So many of these ideas and lessons are truly cross-cultural, and can be applied more widely by entrepreneurs of any race or gender.”

Launched in the U.S. in 2007, the Small Business Toolkit offers online business management information and training on such diverse topics as accounting and finance, business planning, human resources (HR), marketing and sales, operations, and information technology (IT).

Luis Cuneo, Senior Marketing Manager for IBM, said: “The Small Business Toolkit is part of IBM’s commitment to helping cultivate the enormous potential that exists within small businesses especially in historically underserved communities such as Women, Hispanic, Black, Asian and Native American communities.”

“We have had the pleasure of working with Glenn in the past, most recently as part of Global Entrepreneur Week initiative. He brings a remarkably diverse set of skills and passions that we believe will help small businesses. ”
