Ciena Healthcare names Tricia Tomkinson Regional Director of Operations.

Online PR News – 30-November-2010 – – SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – November 30, 2010 – Ciena Healthcare, the largest privately owned manager and operator of skilled nursing and rehabilitation communities in Michigan, has announced the appointment of Tricia Tomkinson as Regional Director of Operations. The announcement was made by Ciena Healthcare President Mohammad Qazi.

In this position, Tomkinson will oversee and support the operations of nine skilled nursing and rehabilitation communities in southeast Michigan.

“We are very pleased to announce Tricia’s appointment at Ciena Healthcare and her expanded role in the care of our patients and residents at our communities,” said Qazi. “Tricia’s proven track record of results and her leadership background is a perfect fit for the Regional Director of Operations position.”

Tomkinson replaces Morsy F. Morsy, who announced his retirement earlier this year after a 33-year career in the healthcare industry.

“Morsy’s commitment and dedication to care has been an inspiration to all of us at Ciena Healthcare, we wish him the best in his retirement,” added Qazi. “However, with Tricia’s impeccable credentials and years of experience, it will make the transition seamless.”

Prior to becoming Regional Director of Operations at Ciena, Tomkinson served as a regional consultant for a southeast Michigan skilled nursing facility. She also held positions as a nursing home administrator and a regional assistant overseeing seven skilled nursing facilities in the metro Detroit area.

Tomkinson earned her nursing degree from the Toledo School of Practical Nursing and her nursing home administrator degree from Michigan State University. She holds a nursing home administrator license in the state of Michigan and is a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state. Tomkinson is a member of the American College of Health Care Administrators, the Health Care Association of Michigan and the Michigan Nursing Association.
