LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM, November 26th, 2010
POLLENTREE.COM is a new and free social network for future parents and co-parents who want children using alternative methods - IVF, Sperm Donation, Egg Donation and Adoption.
PollenTree.com was founded by husband & wife Rita & Patrick D'Alton-Harrison.
The idea for the website came about as some of their friends decided to try alternative routes and wanted to meet other people going through the same experiences. Both Patrick and Rita have extensive online experience having started their first website (compactlaw.co.uk) back in 1996.
PollenTree is completely free - no membership fees and no fees for contacting other members.
PollenTree allows users to search for sperm or egg donors & recipients, and recommends other members based upon your own stated interests.
Even though just launched PollenTree already includes members in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Russia, UK and the US. Members use PollenTree to find suitable matching members in their own country and abroad.
The adoption section also includes an entertaining and informative Celebrity Adoption page.

"PollenTree covers IVF, Sperm Donation, Egg Donation and Adoption because people considering alternative methods consider all possible options."
"People understand social networks, PollenTree is a niche social network. Facebook and others are great for sharing friends, photos and music. With PollenTree you get to share your most personal experiences & hopes; and yes in some cases your genes."
"We will keep PollenTree a completely free website, we will also avoid using emotive pictures of babies and children on the site as we believe that just prays upon peoples' feelings."
"When you see members becoming friends across the world it's nice to think that you play a part in that. That's the power of the internet and why we started doing websites way back in 96."
"I guess there will be some babies conceived over Christmas because of PollenTree, could there be a better gift?"
