Online PR News – 28-November-2010 – – Epson America, Inc., an US affiliate Seiko Epson Corp. recently organized a two days workshop at its Canada based office. The main aim of this workshop was to address the problems of the dealers promoting Epson disc producer pp-100 along with other imaging products of Epson. The first day was dedicated to the technical orientation while the second day was dedicated to address the problems and to share the views. The success of previous such events attracted the Epson sales partners even from the distant places.

After his welcome address, Marketing Manager at Epson America, Inc. invited Technical Head to highlight the salient features of Epson pp-100. Technical head of Epson revealed, “Epson pp-100 has many most advanced features; many of our sales partners are unfamiliar of those features. It is better to use it by self here to see the difference that these features create. AcuGrip™ technology picks only one disk from the tray, even if discs are stuck. Any of six-color inkjet printer’s cartridges can be replaced independently, while in most of other disc publishers, complete set is replaced.”

While addressing the participants, R&D head told the practical benefits of Total Disc Maker software and other unique applications. He revealed, “According to the survey results, it has come to our knowledge that majority of dealers don’t focus their sales efforts on practical benefits. Generally technical oriented sales pitch doesn’t impress the first time buyers; especially, if they are not much technically qualified. When you tell that Epson pp-100 can print and edit the label designs also, it impresses the potential buyers. By having PP-100, buyers don’t need to make any change in their existing systems.”

On the second day, Epson dealers and promoters took the driving seat of the event. They shared their experiences in a relaxed environment. Most of the participants were satisfied with sales volume of Epson disc producer pp-100 and other Epson products. The major issue of speeches was the after sales service. Dealers highlighted the need to simplify the after sales support model. One of the dealer stated, “Although the existing after sales support is one of the best being offered by other companies but we need to simplify existing service model keeping in mind the requirements and capacities of individual users also.”

At the end, the Marketing Manager- Epson promised, “We respect your views. Very soon, we will introduce new support model. Therefore, you can promote Epson disc producer pp-100 with full confidence.”
