This passive coaxial splitter offers unparalleled performance in GPS / GLONASS (GNSS) / Galileo, BeiDou (BDSS), and IRNSS antenna / signal splitting applications.
All INSTOCK Wireless GPS splitters have a 200 ohm internal load connected in parallel to each of the DC block ports. This load simulates the antenna load a connected GPS receiver expects to see (but doesn’t because of the DC block) and is separated from the GPS signal path by an inductor that oases DC from the GPS receiver to the load. This parallel inductor is RF transparent and maintains the 50 ohm port impedance. This 200 ohm load prevents redundantly feeding the active GPS antenna while also preventing the GPS receiver from false triggering an open antenna line.
Model GPS300 is a 3-way, passive, type N, GNSS splitter covering all frequencies from 1000 to 2000 MHz with best-in-class performance for GPS L1, L2, L3, L4, L5, GLONASS, BeiDou, IRNSS, and Galileo global navigation satellite positioning system applications, and is deployed worldwide.
The heart of the unit is a precision designed and etched Wilkinson type microstrip circuit on a low loss, high frequency, dielectric substrate. Electrical performance is highlighted by 0.6 dB max insertion loss (above the -4.77 dB power split), 18 dB min isolation, 1.30:1 max input VSWR and 1.25:1 max output port VSWR. Equal power split and symmetry is displayed by 0.2 dB amplitude balance and 3 degrees phase balance. Narrow band GPS performance in your band of interest may be even better. Model GPS300’s mechanical features include precision CNC, brass, 50 ohm, N-Type female coaxial connectors with tri-alloy plating to ensure tarnish resistance. Connector pins are gold plated phosphor bronze for reliability and low contact resistance. Virgin electrical grade PTFE support insulators captivate the contact pins enabling trouble free coaxial connector mating. Long term operation and superior shielding is assured by the rugged CNC machined aluminum housing with clear chemical film finish. Secure mounting is provided by two 0.125" dia (3.18 mm) through holes. RoHS compliant construction includes no-lead solder and a finish free of hexavalent chromium.
