Dukan appoints Mediarun for UK online growth

Mediarun has won a brief to improve the online approach of Dukan Diet.

Online PR News – 19-November-2010 – – Response marketing company Mediarun, has won a brief to improve the online approach of Dukan Diet. Dr Pierre Dukan is the most widely read nutritionist in France having sold 2.5m copies of his leading diet system, which is now rapidly becoming known worldwide.

Dukan Diet launched its UK online platform in February 2010, which is currently being used to target the English speaking world (specifically the UK, Australia and New Zealand). The website platform, which allows users to calculate their true weight and then buy a coaching plan paid for on a price per day basis, has had a highly successful first six months.

With the site established, Mediarun has been appointed to assist with the growth of the online business in the UK. This will involve search engine optimisation with an emphasis on building presence for ‘non-brand’ generic dieting terms. Mediarun will also be managing a multi-platform paid search activity, along with developing a robust social media strategy to improve brand presence and customer engagement in the UK. The focus will be on driving traffic, building brand presence, assisting with conversion and driving revenue growth.

Alex Wares, Managing Director at Mediarun explains, “The Dukan Diet is well recognised and respected in France and has a growing following in English-speaking countries too. The logical next step is to use response marketing tactics to drive growth in the UK and build the brand presence. Our combined methods will improve customer engagement amongst an English-speaking audience and drive conversions on the site”. He continued, “This approach will also help the Dukan Diet compete online in the UK with established market players, such as Weight Watchers and Rosemary Conley”.

Eric Levasseur CEO (Regime Coach) Dukan concluded “Mediarun has proven expertise in enhancing its clients' online visibility and retaining and converting customers once they’re there. The UK and English-speaking market is the next big step for us and we’re very pleased to have Mediarun on board for this stage”.
