Students from Montana joined Going to the Sun Marketing for a taste of life at a professional marketing firm.
Online PR News – 19-November-2010 – – Students from Whitefish High School traded the classroom for the office last Friday, joining Going to the Sun Marketing, a local, full-service marketing agency, for a first hand look into life as a marketing professional in the Flathead Valley.
Employees of Going to the Sun Marketing walked the students through a typical day of business development meetings, campaign planning and client interactions.
“Our company has more than 80 years of combined experience in the marketing field,” said Michael Moffitt, President of Going to the Sun Marketing. “It was really a joy to be able to share some of that knowledge with the next generation of young potential marketing professionals. I think it’s important to provide them with a real-world example like this, as they begin to think about the types of careers they’d like to pursue.”
With offices in both Whitefish, Mont., and Rochester, N.Y., Going to the Sun Marketing is uniquely positioned to provide local students with a glimpse into daily life at a professional agency. Since 2004, they’ve provided a wide range of clients with award-winning print, web, marketing, advertising and public relations services.
“We really enjoyed our job shadow experience with GTTS Marketing,” said Whitefish Senior McKenzie Wick. “We found it very eye-opening, and definitely an interesting component to our decisions career-wise.”
