Internet vetrepreneur, Army combat veteran, New England native, CrossFit trainer, Women's business mentor & Entrepreneurial MBA to speak with VetToCEO program
Online PR News – 19-December-2016 – Ipswich, MA – VFW Post 1093 and VetToCEO.org announced today that Afghanistan combat veteran and internet entrepreneur Courtney Wilson will share her insights on vetrepreneurship with group participants in a veteran’s entrepreneurship training program starting 11 January in Ipswich, MA.
Featured in a recent Military Times article on life as a veteran entrepreneur, Courtney is the CEO of DropZone for Veterans, a free, online search directory where military veterans and their families can discover and connect with private businesses and organizations that want to support them. She is a former Army Engineer Captain, combat veteran and Bronze Star Medal recipient and has been profiled in the New York Times and interviewed by CNN and NPR for her experience in Afghanistan, as well as named a 'Military Entrepreneur Making a Difference' by Military Officers Association of America.

Taught by veteran business leaders and designed specifically for veterans, VetToCEO's program includes a series of seven modules including sales and marketing, accounting, finance, and operations. It is intended to help prepare military veterans to evaluate various entrepreneurship models. Start up, franchise and purchase of an existing business are all explored, and by the conclusion of the course participants will create fundable business plans.
Courtney says, "I'm living my dream as the CEO of a new company. My military service prepared me for entrepreneurship in ways I couldn't have anticipated, except through DropZone. I'm fulfilling the ambition to serve that lies deep in veterans' hearts. I'm very excited to share insights from this incredible journey with other vetrepreneurs."
While seats are still available, registration in the program is limited to 40 participants to ensure a dynamic, interactive experience for everyone. Early registration has exceeded expectations and the group is rapidly filling, including veterans from every service and 30% female veterans.

The class which will be held weekly at Ipswich VFW Post 1093 on Wednesday evenings from 7-9:30pm, from January 11th through March 8th, 2017 (March 1st will be open for individual preparation).
Participants will pitch their plans to a panel of judges on March 8th, competing for cash prizes to support their business launch. Dinner will be provided at each session and limited childcare may be available through the collaboration of VFW Post 1093 and the Ipswich Family YMCA under the North Shore Veterans Collaborative.
