KADMOS also doubled its staff in 2016 and added well-known companies including NOVENTI Group, Konica and OpenText to its customer base. The key to success is Version 6.0 of the OCR/ICR Engine, which boasts improved performance and quality.

Owing to groundbreaking enhancements to the math that drives the Support Vector Machine, KADMOS technology delivers text recognition results that are up to ten times more accurate than competing products, while at the same time reducing the CPU load and boosting performance. KADMOS best OCR & ICR Version 6.0 delivers faster text recognition results that are up to four percent more accurate than before. Even international competitors have started to rely on KADMOS OCR & ICR by integrating the solution into their portfolio.

Projects embraced by the development team in 2016 included, besides the new version 6.0, the creation of modules that cater to specialized topics such as recipe, check and passport recognition and verification. This dedicated focus allowed the provider to become the leading contender of recipe recognition solutions as well as in other areas on the German market. For instance, KADMOS is presently being used in 75 percent of all recipe recognition applications operated in Germany. In the upcoming business year, the company intends to continue this strategy by focusing on language modules for handwriting and text recognition, among others. “Additional modules that directly integrate with mobile applications as well as tools that support industrial production processes are in our development pipeline,” says Managing Director Tobias Mohr. The company will present its solutions at CeBIT 2017 in Hall 3/Stand B19.
