New online radio station brings the underground New England music scene to a worldwide listening audience.
Online PR News – 15-December-2016 – Boston, Massachusetts – New England Rock and Metal today is proud to announce the launch of a new streaming internet radio station, NRM Radio, via the Radionomy broadcasting platform. The station, www.nrmradio.com, represents a new format which fills a gap missing in the terrestrial and internet radio markets by broadcasting a wide variety of emerging hard rock and heavy metal bands from the New England region to the world such as Crossing Rubicon, Ink, Crowrider, Soldiers of Solace, Demons Past, Prospect Hill, Seven Spires, Mercy White, Enemy of Reason, Dive Team, Enemy Remains, Mile Marker Zero, Burning Time, Inverter and In the Red.
NRM Radio is all about the music. "We're creating sound not heard in current markets by merging alternative, hard rock and heavy metal with sub-genres such as post-grunge, hardcore, progressive, thrash, experimental and nu-metal," states Brian Stone, the station's founder, "and the goal is to create a single community that brings the best of the New England music scene to the world."
Situated in the greater Boston area, the station is within earshot of just about every corner of New England, a region known for unleashing some of the biggest names in rock, including Godsmack, Hatebreed, Staind and Killswitch Engage, all of which may be thrown into the mix.
"Our listeners want variety, and we deliver," Stone explained. "Not only do we play music that appeals to all rock and metal fans, we strongly believe that supporting the music scene also means honoring its past and celebrating the legacy of bands who have paved the way over the years such as Gargantua Soul, SimpLe, Tree, 7th Rail Crew, Shed, Kilgore Smudge and Nullset." One feature on the station will be #TBT, or Throwback Thursday, where a band that has previously made its mark on the scene is added to the playlist and mentioned on the station's Facebook page. Though some of these bands may date back to the late 1990's, there is no shortage of brand new music either, as the station will be at the forefront of cranking out new tunes as they're released, with even more promoted on its Facebook page.
"NRM Radio will be the station many have been looking for but could never find, and for others this will be an introduction to many new bands across the heavy music spectrum," Stone continued. "Moreover, this station gives the bands we play yet another avenue to get their music out to a worldwide audience via nrmradio.com. This is what drives us, and this is what makes us New England's rock and metal underground." Listen now and discover what you've been missing at www.nrmradio.com/listen.
