BPC Engineering received the «Golden Lightning» prize in the International Award «Distributed Power Generation – Great Achievements».
Online PR News – 10-December-2016 – Moscow – BPC Engineering won the International Award «Distributed Power Generation – Great Achievements» in the category «Advanced Development in the Sphere of Power Industry». The award ceremony was conducted in Moscow on December 1, 2016. The «Golden Lightning» prize and honorary diploma were presented to Alexander Skorokhodov, BPC Engineering's CEO, by Sergey Esyakov, the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Energy Committee.
52 projects from Russia, Kazakhstan, Lithuania and Belarus participated in the contest organized by the Ural Distributed Power Generation Association under aegis of the State Duma Energy Committee. The winning project in the category devoted to innovations in distributed and alternative power generation – COMPEX HTP packaged high-temperature pyrolysis system was presented by BPC Engineering. This solution is designed to process various carbon-containing feedstock into synthesis gas for onsite power and heat generation. As of today, the company has completed one pilot project at a wood processing facility in Serbia and now is manufacturing a demonstration system at its facility in Tutaev (Russia). This demonstration system will serve for test power generation with pyrolysis gas produced from various wastes including industrial, agricultural, food, domestic, etc. This will allow for the development of full cycle beginning from feedstock conditioning and ending with power generation within one system. The implementation of COMPEX HTP high-temperature pyrolysis systems will help enterprises with the restricted access to traditional energy resources organize reliable energy supply reducing expenses for electricity and heating through the use of waste materials. This solution has already attracted great interest of domestic and foreign companies.
According to Maxim Zagornov, the President of the Ural Distributed Power Generation Association, the main goal of the International Award «Distributed Power Generation – Great Achievements» was achieved. «I thank all the participants who have proved that even in the times of crisis distributed and alternative power generation is developing, new facilities are being constructed and new innovative solutions are being implemented,» – he said.
