Tokyo, Japan, 28th November 2016: On Friday December 9th 2016, the ANA InterContinental Tokyo (Akasaka, Minato Ward, Tokyo) is reopening The Steakhouse, in operation since 2008, under the same name but with a renewed interior and menu, for a specialty steak restaurant (115-seat capacity) that brings an authentic American style to the fore. rnrnThe Steakhouse opening with a new look has been reformed into an eatery tagged “the neighborhood steakhouse,” where every guest staying in any of our 844 rooms can casually visit and enjoy steaks consisting mainly of beef from the United States or Wagyu Japanese beef from specially selected regions in Japan, along with five varieties of Wagyu Japanese beef hamburgers, in a warm and comfortable atmosphere. In addition to steak, we also offer a menu full of side dishes including Louisiana-style crab cakes, fisherman’s style clam chowder, ham and salami cold cuts, and more, so we are well suited not only for meeting personal requests, but also for group gatherings such as business meals and parties in one of our private rooms. rn rnThe binchotan white charcoal grill measuring three meters in length at the restaurant’s entrance creates a dynamic and immersive environment, and on Fridays at our weekly “Manhattan Jazz Night,” we offer a dining experience curated with an element of entertainment, where guests can enjoy dinner accompanied by a live jazz trio performing under the dome shaped skylight in the center of the restaurant.rnCome experience a steakhouse that is always buzzing with a highly international clientele that could only be found at a hotel in the heart of the city.

1.Meat consisting mainly of American beef and Iwami Wagyu* Japanese beef, along with seafood and fresh vegetables are closely examined and carefully selected, and served after being prepared in a simple yet dynamic method which maximizes the natural flavor of the ingredients, using a binchotan white charcoal grill (measuring 3 meters total length) placed in the open kitchen. The aromatic grilled taste is an outstanding feature of the restaurant.
*Rare black-haired wagyu variety with annual production quantity of only 200 cows per year.

2.Enjoy the combination of condiments which suits your tastes, with our preparation of sauces including a mushroom sauce, a green-pepper corn sauce, a béarnaise sauce, a red wine sauce, and an Argentinian chimichurri sauce, ten varieties of unique salts including a Cabernet wine salt, a Pinot Noir wine salt, a black truffle salt, a white truffle salt, a lemon salt, and a Maldon Smoked Salt, and various mustards. rnrn3.The flavor of our chargrilled steak is expanded with a great variety of alcohols, consisting mainly of boutique wines* from California, along with bourbon, classic American cocktails, and rare domestic beers proudly produced in Japan. rnWe also offer a 90-minute bottomless wine and beer service (¥4,000 per person).

4.The Steakhouse also presents its "Knife Library," where our guests can choose their favorite from among different types of cutlery. Our regular diners are eligible for "Own Your Knife" after their 10th visit. We’ll engrave the guest’s initials on the knife and keep it available for future visits at The Steakhouse.

5.“Manhattan Jazz Night” livens up the restaurant every Friday.
A jazz trio (sax, guitar, and base) performs live under the dome shaped skylight located in the center of the restaurant.
