Online PR News – 15-November-2010 – – CHICAGO, IL -- Patients of Dr. Theodore Siegel, a cosmetic dentist in Chicago, may be in for a surprise the next time they visit the dentist.

Dr. Siegel, along with another Chicago dentist Dr. Christopher Quick, are growing mustaches during the month of November to help raise recognition for men's cancer awareness month. The event, dubbed 'Movember,' brings attention to cancers that affect men, mainly testicular cancer and prostate cancer. During the month long event, each man taking part is encouraged to grow a mustache, or 'mo.' At the end of the month, the men, known as Mo Bros, and their female supporters, known as Mo Sistas, are invited to Gala Partes that occur across the United States.

Dr. Quick and I are excited to take part in Movember and help raise awareness for prostate and testicular cancer. The event started as a joke between buddies in 2003 and has expanded to include events around the world. The money raised each year has continued to grow and last year participants raised $42 million for Movembers global beneficiary partners. The proceeds from US donors benefit Livestrong and the Prostate Cancer Foundation - two important partners in the fight against cancers that afflict men.
