St. Louis-based Rodgers Townsend, one of the nation's top advertising agencies, has produced two new PSA videos for the humanitarian organization Outreach International. The PSAs offer tongue-in-cheek tips for choosing meaningful gifts that make a lasting difference for the world’s poor.

Online PR News – 10-November-2010 – – Rodgers Townsend, one of the most awarded advertising agencies in the United States, has produced two new videos for the Missouri-based charity Outreach International.

Just in time for holiday shopping, the videos offer tongue-in-cheek tips for choosing meaningful gifts that make a lasting difference for the world’s poor.

The videos were created pro bono under the creative direction of Tom Townsend, chief creative officer at Rodgers Townsend.

I have never seen more integrity and passion in an organization so effective in making a positive change in the world.

“We couldn’t be more pleased about working with Outreach International,” said Townsend, who has visited Outreach International programs in Africa and India. “I have never seen more integrity and passion in an organization so effective in making a positive change in the world.”

The new PSAs are the brainchild of Tom Townsend; the production team included Eric Tatham, art director, and Shaun Young, cinematographer.

“There’s an Easier Way to Give a Goat” (http://www.vimeo.com/16095679) stars -- what else? -- a goat, and a determined gift-giver armed with scissors, tape and a roll of wrapping paper. The companion PSA plays out a similar scene, this time with the advice, “There’s an Easier Way to Give a Chicken.”

That “easier way” is Outreach International’s Sustainable Gifts Catalog, filled with gifts that make a difference for the poor who need them. Chickens for eggs. Land to harvest food. School fees for an education. And more: dignity, hope and self-reliance.

Outreach International’s Sustainable Gifts Catalog is available online for holiday gift-giving (https://secure2.convio.net/ori/site/Ecommerce?store_id=2421), or by calling 888.356.7777.
