President of CookTek, a leading induction cooking innovator, completes 10.10.10 Chicago Marathon to help raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Online PR News – 08-November-2010 – – CHICAGO - CookTek, an industry leader in induction cooking technology, recently celebrated CookTek President Bob Wolters’ completion of the 2010 Chicago Marathon. The marathon, which took place on October 10 and spanned 26.2 miles through the city of Chicago, was Wolters’ first. As a Team RMHC (Ronald McDonald House Charities) runner, Wolters helped raise more than $350,000 to support RMHC’s core programs, including the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room and Ronald McDonald Care.
“Ronald McDonald House Charities is an exceptional organization, providing the emotional support that families need to endure difficult times,” said Wolters. “I will never forget the support we found through RMHC when my brother Ryan suffered and lost his battle to leukemia 30 years ago. Running the Chicago Marathon was my way of giving back in memory of my brother.”
More than 200 runners joined Team RMHC from 27 states, Canada and Costa Rica to complete the Chicago Marathon and raise money for 4 million-plus families that RMHC serves. Wolters was the top fundraiser for Team RMHC, winning a roundtrip airfare and four-day, three-night stay for two in Paris. He also won a race entry for the April 2011 Marathon de Paris.
When he is not running, Wolters is the president of CookTek, a leading manufacturer of induction cooking products. From advanced induction cooktop ranges to heated pizza delivery systems, CookTek provides induction cooking innovations that change the way cooking professionals cook and serve food.
“The staff at CookTek has been extremely supportive and encouraging as I trained for and ran the Chicago Marathon,” said Wolters. “I am very proud to be a part of team that continually works hard to put out the most effective cooking products and that truly cares about the CookTek family.”
