The Showcase will feature boys and girls high school teams from Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina. The one-day event will also include two local schools in Cartersville High School and North Cobb Christian School.rnThe Basketball Showcase will highlight top-level prospects from around the Southeast, creating a true championship atmosphere in the state-of-the-art Champions Center. The high caliber competition is sure to attract the attention of local, regional, and national scouts and media coverage. rnThe Showcase will kick off at 1:00 PM with the #1 rated Girls Basketball player in the nation, Olivia Nelson-Ododa, and Winder-Barrow as they take on The Lovett School. Following the girls match-up, the boys will take over as two Georgia teams, Hillgrove and Warner Robins, face off at 2:30.rnThe third game of the day will be between LakePoint’s local team, Cartersville High School, and Meadowcreek. Returning four starters from their Regional Championship team a year ago, Cartersville will look to use their experience against a relatively young Meadowcreek team.rnThe 5:30 game will feature two out-of-state teams in Chattanooga (TN) McCallie and Charlotte (NC) Providence Day. Providence Day boasts one of the top guards in the nation, Devon Dotson, while McCallie will look to continue their success coming off a 25-win season. rnThe final game of the night will pit two Georgia teams, North Cobb Christian and Sandy Creek against each other to conclude an action-packed day. Both teams are coming off 20+ win seasons a year ago, making for an exciting match-up to close out the first annual LakePoint Basketball Showcase presented by the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame.rnLakePoint, the Champions Center, and the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame are excited to host this first annual event which is sure to be an exciting, action-packed day of basketball.
