WED, AUG 17, 2016, PRIME OSBORN CONVENTION CENTER, JACKSONVILLE
The Tech Coast Conference had over 800 people in attendance which is the largest in three years.
Online PR News – 19-October-2016 – Jacksonville,FL – Tech Coast Conference was organized by the JAX Chamber Information Technology Council.
Mike Nolan, Council President of Tech Coast Conference and also the Vice President of Global Infonet Inc., said he was ecstatic with Wednesday’s turnout. “To open it up in the morning, we had standing-room only for speakers,” he said.
The conference was marketed through the Chamber and Comcast cablevision services. Comcast one of the conference’s main sponsors, ran advertisements in Orlando and Tallahassee.
Nolan chalked up the growing attendance mainly to a thriving technology business network.
“I would almost say it was grassroots. The IT Council has talked about this literally since the day after the inaugural conference in 2014. Between the board members and our general membership, we touch a lot of different people. It’s just been a message that’s been driven into everybody’s heads,” he said. “I think a lot of it really is word of mouth. …”
Eighteen speakers addressed the participants, over 40 industry companies showcased vendor booths and 14 sponsors were also on hand.
Given Wednesday’s turnout, Nolan said momentum will drive toward a bigger event in 2017. “Absolutely, we are thrilled and we fully anticipate a bigger event next year,” he said.
Global Infonet Inc’s key product, Dock Intranet Portal was showcased at the event, drawing lots of interests
Joe Joseph, CEO of Global Infonet Inc. and Dock 365 Inc., said he was overwhelmed seeing the event response.
“This conference is growing tremendously. We’ve got a lot of people including CEO’s and CTOs walking at our booth. More and more companies are opening up in Jacksonville and we have also received interests from visitors who came from Boston, Atlanta, Houston, Alabama. The Tech Coast Conference isn’t a local tech event anymore. We are looking forward to next year’s Tech Coast Conference as the footfalls are increasing year by year,” he said.
