Online PR News – 17-October-2016 – New York, NY – Don’t miss the Klara Landrat’s interview on DNMAG in Paris. The Rubbzz original’s designer, but also an actress, a photographer and a full time globe-trotter.
An exclusive interview for DN Mag, a professional Designer News Magazine in Paris.
including issue related to a violation of trademark and intellectual property from a Denmark company since 2015.
Klara Landrat is a full time globetrotter, living in New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong or Tel Aviv; Designer, Photographer, Author, Actress and Producer, Klara Landrat is an amazing person, full of energy, and with a particularly sharp mind.
At the moment she co-creates the label The Rubbzz Original. Being a designer, photographer and actress allows her to combine and connect all her quite logical activities. And you know what? She loves to multi-task.
To give you a concrete example Klara Landrat says that being a photographer allows her to enter a work situation for her brand with a truly different perspective from that of a product designer. In addition, being also an actress, helps her in a relationship with customers, being both flexible and fully involved in the present moment. This requires finding the right balance between what she is in deeply, and the image that she somehow has to represent her brand.
In addition, Klara Landrat's constant travels, are certainly a huge advantage not only as an actress but also as a photographer. Living in the Far East is for her an important source of inspiration, because she can add that experience to her work and vision.
Finally, as an actress this adds to extraordinary experience that allows her to understand the enigmatic magic of composing a character derived from her travels.
What's Klara's attitude in life? She claims its appetite for life in general. What drives her is curiosity and imagination, and it's definitely out there!
She likes to explore in general, weather near or through distant lands. We can draw from sources of great inspiration. "I think in life, the most important thing is to always be inspired"
Being an actress is in a way a full time job, where the spare time is devoted to more reading, more self-reflection, and mostly observation of other people. It is incredibly demanding but in it it is very rewarding. When she is working on a role she needs to be very focused so she usually doesn't engage in the photo projects and I let her husband and assistant to take over with the fashion brand. As a designer she works closely with her husband who is the brand creator and a team. As a brand ambassador she has to be camera ready for interviews or appearances. Sadly the big part of being a designer has become lately quite a headline story, when she has to sue one of her buyers "The Rubz Aps" from Denmark who have infringed her designs and promoted it as their own. As being in fashion business is inevitable that someone would copy you. Chanel, Dior or Gucci spent millions of their assets in lawsuits to catch the criminals. As shameful and squalid as it is Klara thinks it's part of being in fashion.
As a photographer she usually work with magazines and discusses what would be the theme of an editorial. Often times she also works independently and shoots a fashion story and then present it to the particular magazine. Klara Landrat also feels very strongly about women and loves working with women in general as it's incredibly as she is very fond of women. I always like to quote here Eliott Erwitt : "Photography is an art of observation it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them"
In addition to all her talents Klara Landrat speaks 5 languages: English, French, Hebrew, Polish and Italian.
