The California Labor Law Poster deadline is Oct. 8
Online PR News – 04-November-2010 – – The mandatory California workers’ compensation poster called “Notice to Employees – Injuries Caused by Work” must be updated by Oct. 8, 2010, according to the California Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC).
“Notice to Employees - Injuries Caused by Work”
The DWC issued final regulations amending workers’ compensation laws in August after several rounds of public comments, and employers were given 60 days to comply by updating their workers’ compensation posters and revising notices to employees.
"Extensive changes were made to the California workers’ compensation poster (DWC 7) since the amendments affected numerous Medical Provider Network (MPN) and employee information regulations," said Irwin Trester, Labor Compliance Consultant.
Among the changes are new information about MPNs, payment of disability benefits, treatment of work injuries and distribution of information, and new websites for the Division of Workers’ Compensation and the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement.
Employers who have Spanish-speaking employees must also post the updated CA workers’ compensation poster in Spanish, according to the DWC. Our CA labor law poster is available in both English and Spanish.
