Cass Business School students arrange successful Fashion show with all proceeds donated to charity.

Online PR News – 29-September-2009 – – A group of enterprising students from Cass Business School staged ‘Fashion Fantasies’, a glamorous fashion show in aid of three charities; 100% of the money raised was donated to The East Cheshire Crossroads Caring for Carers, SOS Africa and Task Brasil Trust.

The event took place at seOne, London’s largest licensed nightclub in London Bridge. It featured 15 designers including London Fashion Week’s Pierre Garroudi, high street favourites La Senza, Moss Bros and Aftershock, as well as exclusive designs from Liberty's Daisy Darche and Bermondsey 167. There was also a showcase of upcoming talent from this year's Alternative Fashion Week, such as Aaron Ray Dowie, Chantal Gibbs-Jones and Nelly George Hipkin. All the designs were modelled by 30 Cass students selected at ‘Cass’s Next Top Model’ event earlier on this year.

Katrina de Massey, a student on the MA in Property Valuation and Law was one of three Cass students organising the event and was responsible for the production of ‘Fashion Fantasies' including the selection and coordination of designers, music, choreography, hair and make-up. The event was the sixth fashion show Katrina has run for charity or community projects.

To ensure the event was a success, the Business School - http://www.cass.city.ac.uk/ - students also enlisted the help of big names such as international DJ Johnny Polyester, and former Big Brother contestant ‘Seany O’Cane, who hosted the show and the charity auction. Sony TV filmed the event for a programme that will be broadcast across Asia, in addition to a documentary on London fashion week's designer Pierre Garroudi.

So far this fantastic event organised by Cass Business School students has raised £9938 through ticket sales, raffle money and donations. The proceeds will be divided equally between the three charities.
