Generation T.E.M.P.O. is pleased to bring the inaugural Kidz ‘N’ Biz Workshop & EXPO designed to broaden the minds of young entrepreneurs and kick start their businesses! The Kidz ‘N’ Biz Workshop & Expo is a movement to Teach. Empower. Motivate. Provide. and Offer. the Tools and Opportunities that kids need to become the BEST entrepreneurs they can be! Councilwoman Gerri Schroder says, “Partnering with Generation T.E.M.P.O. and bringing the Kidz ‘N’ Biz Program to the City of Henderson will help our youth develop into budding entrepreneurs.” The Kidz ‘N’ Biz Program comprises of the Foundations Workshop and the EXPO.

The Kidz 'N' Biz Foundations Workshop offers kids - ages 8-16 years old who are interested in venturing in entrepreneurship - a platform that will help them generate ideas, learn how to launch a business, what it takes to manage it and what they need to keep it going! The Workshop also includes a mentoring program comprised of C-Level Professionals who perform the work, day in and day out, make management decisions, and have committed their time to enhancing the learning experience of every Youth Entrepreneur. “Kidz ‘N’ Biz is a wonderful concept that fits perfectly with the entrepreneur programs we have in the City. It supports and caters specifically to our elementary, middle and high school students, who are looking to start something on their own” adds Barbra Coffee, Director of Economic Development at the City of Henderson.

In addition to the Foundations Workshop, Generation T.E.M.P.O. is also offering the Kidz N Biz EXPO, a one day event that will allow Youth Entrepreneurs to showcase their business, attend educational seminars, learn about resources available for their business, and get new customers! R. Lynn Pingol, Founder of Generation T.E.M.P.O. and creator of the Kidz ‘N’ Biz Program says, “It is gratifying to see when a kid gets the idea, watch it creatively explode in their minds, then come to life! That is why this Workshop & EXPO is unique. To top it off, kids will be inspired by kids their own age, who have started their own businesses! This is truly peer to peer at its best!” The EXPO plans to award three (3) Youth Entrepreneurs “Kick-Start Funds” to get their business off the ground. The panel of judges includes Councilwoman Gerri Schroder with the City of Henderson, CEO of American Science Products - Craig McManis, and Regional Program Manager of ENACTUS – Jordan Blackford.

The EXPO will be held at the Henderson Convention Center on Saturday-February 11, 2017, from 10am – 4pm. Youth Entrepreneurs interested in showcasing their business at the EXPO can participate by submitting their Capability/Product Summary, an Executive Business Summary, and pay their booth registration fee online no later than January 10, 2017. Youth Entrepreneurs (ages 8 – 16 years old) interested in attending the Kidz ‘N’ Biz Foundations Workshop can enroll online before October 31, 2016, in order to attend the 10 week sessions.
