Towne Park is recognized by NVFS for outstanding employee engagement, culture, progressive family-friendly policies and deep community impact.
Online PR News – 06-October-2016 – Annapolis/Maryland – Towne Park is pleased to announce that it has been selected as a 2016 CARE Award recipient. The CARE Awards, presented by Northern Virginia Family Service (NVFS), personify what it means to be a best place to work. One of only 16 companies selected in Northern Virginia, Towne Park was recognized for outstanding employee engagement, culture, progressive family-friendly policies and deep community impact.
“I am thrilled and honored that Towne Park was selected for the CARE Award, said Chuck Heskett, CEO and President for Towne Park. “We are a services company and everything we do revolves around attracting, developing and retaining people – our associates are our greatest assets. This is the first time that we have applied for the CARE Award, and receiving the award on our initial attempt re-affirms several core truths about Towne Park: we offer growth opportunities for all associates, we treat people with respect and empathy, we have passion for what we do, and if we listen to the hearts and minds of our co-workers, great things will happen.”
Towne Park empowers associates, at every level of the organization, with financial information and continuous learning. Monthly CEO company-wide virtual meetings and continuous in-person executive market visits provide dynamic opportunities for associate engagement and recognition.
Towne Park’s focus on people is evident in its learning, developmental and certificate programs, which enable associates to acquire numerous skills (and in some cases college credit) while growing their service, business and operational knowledge. Towne Park utilizes both interactive technology and on-site training to allow associates to manage their professional advancement and map their own career paths.
Social responsibility is a vital part of Towne Park’s service-minded culture and history. The Company, through its associates, engages in grassroots community projects in each of the over 50 cities and 40 states in which it operates. In addition, The Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that serves and supports the communities in which Towne Park associates live and work. The Foundation has a dual focus - helping children in need through educational advancement opportunities and providing employee assistance in times of tragedy and hardship.
“CARE Award winners understand the true value of their employees, and take great strides to nurture and develop them through their policies, their culture and their overall business practices,” shares Stephanie Berkowitz, president and CEO at Northern Virginia Family Service. Awards will be presented to these companies at the 24th Annual CARE Awards Breakfast, held this year on Friday, Nov. 18, at the Falls Church Marriott Fairview Park. In addition to breakfast, the event includes the opportunity to hear from local executives on family-friendly workplace policies. Information on attending or sponsoring is available at nvfs.org/careawards.
