The Bair Foundation Child and Family Ministries was recently selected as a recipient of the 2016 Angels in Adoption award
Online PR News – 29-August-2016 – New Wilmington, PA – The Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute’s (CCAI) Angels in Adoption™ Program honors a wide spectrum of individuals and organizations making extraordinary contributions in adoption, Permanency and child welfare. Each year, the Angels in Adoption™ awardees travel to Washington, D.C., to both celebrate their hard work and dedication to the issues and participate in special events designed to engage them in using their personal experience to effect change on behalf of children in need of families. CCAI also honors a select number of National Angels in Adoption™ whose contributions have had a national impact.
The Bair Foundation was recently selected as the recipient of the 2016 Angels in Adoption award and will be attending a gala on September 21, 2016 at the Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center in Washington DC. Representing The Bair Foundation Child & Family Ministries at the event will be Bair V.P., Kim Young and Jill Schmidt, Director of Adoption and Permanency Services. The agency was nominated by a family in Erie, PA and selected by US Representative Mike Kelly for their excellence in adoption services.
Also nominated and selected by Senator Bob Casey, was Bair foster parent, Kelly Hughes who is the founder of Foster Love Project. Driven by her desire to replace the possession-filled garbage bags with backpacks filled with basic necessities, she and her team have distributed over 3,000 bags to over 21 agencies in 10 counties in the last three years.
The Bair Foundation is honored to be recognized for such a prestigious award.
