Wiwigo, an Indian intercity cab rental company receives a funding of 4Cr from IAN

World's largest network of angel investors, IAN (Indian Angel Network) has invested Rs 4 Cr in Wiwigo Technologies, Intercity Cab service Provider.

taxi service provider initiative. Wiwigo, which is an online platform for intercity cab service throughout India, is one of its kind which

addresses the problem of paying roundtrip fares for cabs when passengers have to travel just one way.

Wiwigo is a Delhi-based online taxi provider platform for intercity travel by cab and was founded in 2014 by Sunil Chaula and Nilesh Pawaskar.

WiwiGo claims that they shed off 50% of monetary burden from the Passengers due to thier dense network of vendors and drivers. Wiwigo is

providing the oneway intercity travel in more than 40 cities presently. and they plan to expand thier business to more than 100 cities in near

future if they continue to progress at the current rate. Wiwigo asserts that they wish to defragment the highly fragment taxi industry under one


Sunil Chaula, CEO, Wiwigo claims that wiwigo is committed to provide door to door, punctual, most budget friendly and most convinient cab

service where passengers can actually cut the costs and have a journey where they can dictate thier own time during thier intercity travel.

The current intercity car rental market in India is approximately $9 Bn and it’s growing at 12% CAGR. As per Ministry of Transport, estimated

inter-state passenger taxi revenue was around $3.5 Bn in 2012. The recent funding for Wiwigo which was led by IAN investors Priyank Shankar Garg

& Harsh Chitale assures that Garg would also be joining the Wiwigo board soon.
