Explore Living opens new phase of property in East Sussex, UK, focussing on redeveloped Art Deco hotel.
Online PR News – 24-September-2009 – – UK home builder Explore Living has launched a new phase of apartments at its Grand Ocean development, built around a listed 1930s Art Deco building which was formerly a hotel property, in Saltdean, East Sussex. Named the Pacific Building, this new phase to the development provides an additional 20 new homes and is part of the wider Grand Ocean development - featuring sea views, underground parking and on site gymnasium.
The launch of the Pacific Building follows the success of another Explore Living property in Sussex - the Atlantic Building, most of which are now sold.
John Inglis, Explore Living Sales and Marketing Director for Explore Living commented, “The launch of the Pacific building marks a milestone in the redevelopment of the iconic Grand Ocean site. Already we have dozens of residents living within the development and as construction progress of the Pacific building is very advanced it means buyers are able to move into their new properties very soon. Grand Ocean provides a seaside lifestyle opportunity with an easy commute to London and the Home Counties. Various amenities are within walking distance of the apartments and the development itself includes a gymnasium.”
When complete, Grand Ocean will provide 279 one and two bedroom apartments across four new building wings and within the former 1930s Grade II listed Art Deco hotel. The development additionally features an award winning historic communal garden, an on-site gymnasium and passenger lifts.
Grand Ocean incorporates a number of sustainable design elements including a solar-panel hot water heating system that can cover up to 70% of residents’ energy demand for hot water.
