Scott Erickson is named I-BFD’s April 2009 Artist of the Month

This busy musician never forgets to stop and play the Beatles. And for that he has been given the honor of being named Artist of the Month by, a website dedicated to Beatles fans around the world.

Online PR News – 05-April-2009 – – The International Beatles Freak Day team has selected solo artist Scott Erickson of Danville, PA to receive the honor of being named I-BFD Artist of the Month for April 2009. During his career as a musician, Scott has had the honor of performing with former Paul McCartney sidemen Robbie McIntosh and Hamish Stuart.

Upon hearing that he had been named I-BFD’s Artist of the Month, Scott replied "Very Cool! I've been a Beatle Fan since I was a kid. They've been one of my biggest influences as a musician, and I'm thrilled to be able to share my love of their music with Beatle Fans & Freaks all over the world!"

Scott Erickson has been performing professionally since the age of 21. Over the past 15 years, Scott has built up a reputation as one of the Northeast and Central Pennsylvania's premiere solo performers. He has been a member of several bands: The Rumble Cats, Circle Sky and The Impossible. He was the bassist and occasional lead vocalist for The Aardvarks, from their earliest incarnations in late 2002 until January of 2004. He was featured on lead, rhythm, acoustic, electric & bass guitars in Redz Vision, as well as a member of one of the Lehigh Valley areas favorite up & coming bands-The Infamous Hogleg Boys.

As a solo artist, he has opened for The Bacon Brothers, Blue Oyster Cult, Keith Urban, Gary Lewis & The Playboys and Freddy 'Boom Boom' Cannon and comedians ‘Big’ Jay Oakerson, Tom Rhodes, and the legendary Gilbert Gottfried. And most recently, Scott has jammed with legendary rock & roll band, The Smithereens.
