One More Page Books, an independent, neighborhood-oriented bookstore, announces its July and August 2016 event schedule. All events are free and open to the public.

Saturday, July 9th at 3 pm – David Krugler discusses and signs “The Dead Don't Bleed,” a World War II novel set in Washington, D.C.

Sunday, July 10th at 3 pm – The store welcomes Once Upon a Stage, an interactive children’s theatre troupe where participants (ages 5-7) become part of the story.

Thursday, July 14th at 7 pm – Libby Heily shares from her new YA novel, “Welcome to Sortilege Falls.”

Friday, July 15th at 7 pm – New York Times best-selling author Beatriz Williams (“A Hundred Summers,” “Tiny Little Thing”) discusses and signs her newest novel, “A Certain Age.” Accompanied by a wine tasting.

Sunday, July 17th at 2:30 pm – One More Page co-hosts a launch party for John Gilstrap and “Friendly Fire,” the latest in his Jonathan Grave thriller series, at the Vienna Inn, 120 East Maple Avenue, Vienna, VA 22180.

Wednesday, July 20th at 7 pm – Public interest advocate and author Wenonah Hauter shares from “Frackopoly: The Battle for the Future of Energy and the Environment.”

Thursday, July 21st at 7 pm – The store hosts a middle-grade author panel featuring Rebecca Behrens (“Summer of Lost and Found”), Tara Dairman (“Stars So Sweet”) and Jen Swann Downey (“The Ninja Librarians: Sword in the Stacks”).

Friday, July 22nd at 7 pm – Tara Laskowski (“Bystanders”) and Jen Conley (“Cannibals: Stories from the Edge of the Pine Barrens”) share from their short story collections.

Saturday, July 23rd at 6 pm – The store hosts a YA author panel featuring Tiffany Schmidt (“Break Me Like a Promise”), Miranda Kenneally (“Defending Taylor”), and Jessica Spotswood (“Wild Swans”).

Wednesday, July 27th at 7 pm – “The Dangerous Ladies 2.0” tour makes a stop at One More Page, featuring YA authors Megan Shepherd (“The Hunt”), Megan Miranda (“The Safest Lies”), Beth Revis (“A World Without You”), Gwenda Bond (“Lois Lane: Double Down”), and Renee Ahdieh (“The Rose and the Dagger”).

Friday, July 29th at 7 pm – Sarah Pekkanen (“The Perfect Neighbors”) and Eleanor Brown (“The Light of Paris”) pair up to chat about their new novels. Accompanied by a wine tasting.

Saturday, July 30th at 9 pm: One More Page celebrates the release of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Midnight” with a party featuring costume contests, Wizard Wrock Karaoke, Sorting Ceremonies and more.

Monday, August 1st at 7 pm – Mohana Rajakumar shares from “No Place for Women,” the second installment in her Crimes in Arabia series.

Thursday, August 4th at 7 pm – Award-winning author Robert P. Watson shares from his latest release, “The Nazi Titanic: The Incredible Untold Story of a Doomed Ship in World War II.”

Friday, August 5th at 6:30 pm – The store hosts a wine tasting featuring refreshing summer wines.

Saturday, August 6th at 3:30 pm – Journalist Deborah Kalb shares from “George Washington and the Magic Hat,” the first book in The President and Me series, in which members of fifth-grade students go back in time to interact with a president while also coping with a present-day dilemma.
