Online PR News – 20-May-2016 – Mumbai/Maharashtra – VIBGYOR High School, Lucknow participated in the first FICCI FLO Lucknow Half Marathon today. Students, teachers as well as parents enthusiastically began their run from 1090 Crossing, Gomti Nagar, participating in 3km and 21km races. The Marathon witnessed over 1000 participants running for the cause.
With the thought of supporting the cause of the Marathon - ‘Stop Child Labour’, 14 students from Grade 5th to 8th of VIBGYOR High School, Lucknow performed a NukkadNatak. Students beautifully conceptualized the play depicting social problems such as Gender Discrimination, Child Labour, Illiteracy and advocated for measures such as Women Empowerment, Right of Education to every child, especially education for girls and abolishment of Child Labour. The students concluded with a message, requesting everyone to join hands and take a step forward to fight against these issues and make this country a better place to live in. The act was highly appreciated by the audience as well as the guests present at the event.
