Online PR News – 18-May-2016 – Cincinnati, OH – Darrell D. Payne, the Democratic Party endorsed candidate for Juvenile Court Judge in Hamilton County, is pleased to announce that the Ohio Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) has endorsed him as candidate for Hamilton County Juvenile Court Judge.
The NASW Political Action for Candidate Election (PACE) committee actively supports Darrell Payne as a candidate for Hamilton County Juvenile Court Judge, as follows, “Mr. Payne has been a social worker for more than 20 years and is now running for Hamilton County Juvenile judge. Mr. Payne has his MSSW from the University of Louisville, a BSW from the University of Dayton, and his JD from Northern Kentucky University. He has worked in a myriad of academic settings, legal settings, and direct social work practice settings.” The Chapter followed with a generous donation to Mr. Payne’s campaign.
Payne shares, “Our campaign slogan is ‘Vote 4 Payne-Champion for Children’. I’m the Champion for Children because I’m compassionate about kids and my background demonstrates it. I have over 20 years in the practice of law as a criminal defense attorney; I have over 20 years experience in social work; and I have been a social work educator at the graduate and undergraduate level for over 20 years. I’ve worked as a Juvenile Court Prosecutor, Probation Officer, and Public Defender and have served on numerous boards of children’s organizations around the city. I have also traveled to Haiti on three missionary trips to help build schools and group homes for underprivileged children. I have worked in all aspects of the juvenile system and understand the dynamics of juvenile court and its impact on children and families. Together we can build a Collaborative Community of Champions for Children that will engage individuals, families and agencies to form a winning alliance to help rehabilitate troubled youths and reunify families that pass through juvenile court.”
