The Law Offices of Dianne Sawaya Sponsors Colorado's Second GeoPlunge Tournament

Denver’s premier personal injury law firm is helping Colorado's youth brush up on their geography knowledge in a fun and exciting way.

Online PR News – 06-May-2016 – Denver, CO – On May 11, 2016, The Law Offices of Dianne Sawaya will be sponsoring Colorado's second ever GeoPlunge Tournament at the Addenbrooke Classical Academy in Lakewood, Colorado. The firm sponsored the first ever GeoPlunge Tournament in Colorado earlier this year in January.

GeoPlunge is an award-winning U.S. geography trivia game developed by Alan Fishel, partner at Arent Fox LLP. It promotes friendly competition among students, challenging them to learn more about America's history in a non-traditional fashion.

The game has been wildly popular on the East Coast for more than a decade, and The Law Offices of Dianne Sawaya is bringing this national sensation to Colorado once again, says Dianne Sawaya, founder and managing partner.

“We’re thrilled that Colorado’s youth will have the chance to participate in one of these amazing tournaments, again" Sawaya says. "Our team of lawyers is really looking forward to sponsoring the event again, and our staff is excited to help conduct the tournament. Our staff had a great time working with the amazingly smart and enthusiastic students at Addenbrooke Classical Academy in Lakewood, Colorado."

GeoPlunge, created by LearningPlunge, Inc., is open to students from third through eighth grade and can be played in school, at home, or at tournaments. Teams of three are each given a stack of cards containing geography questions that they must answer before the other teams.

The trivia questions test students' knowledge of bordering states, state rankings, capital cities, state flowers, flags, and more. Teachers who have used the game in their classroom have reported significant improvements in their students' confidence, both inside and outside of school.

Students in grade school are at a crucial stage in their development, and games like GeoPlunge show children that learning doesn't have to be boring. Sawaya hopes that the students who participate in the tournament will become motivated to perform well in school and carry that momentum into college and beyond.

One of the goals of The Law Offices of Dianne Sawaya is to help build a better future for Colorado's youth. The GeoPlunge Tournament on May 11, 2016 is a perfect way to engage children in a scholastic and competitive setting while also letting them have fun with friends.

LearningPlunge, Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C. The Law Offices of Dianne Sawaya's sponsorship of the next GeoPlunge Tournament could play a major role in helping students all over Colorado benefit from this progressive approach to education.
