Open Day - Saturday 7 May - Vocational routes into Film, TV and Theatre hair and make-up industry

On Saturday 7th May, The Iver Academy will be hosting an open day for young people keen to take a vocational route into the Film, TV and Theatre industry.

Online PR News – 30-April-2016 – London – On Saturday 7th May renowned hair and make-up school The Iver Academy, based at Pinewood Studios, will be hosting their next open day for young people keen to take a vocational route into the Film, TV and Theatre industry. With the arrival of exam season meaning many students are now considering their future options, The Iver Academy offers creative individuals a route into a career based on vocational skills and practical experience, taught by BAFTA award-winning make-up artists who have worked with the likes of Kate Moss, George Clooney, Dame Helen Mirren and David Beckham.

The open day will offer prospective students a close-up, behind the scenes look at what it takes to become a professional hair and make-up artist working in film, TV, theatre and fashion. There will be the opportunity to meet recent graduates who have gone on to work on productions such as Mr Selfridge, Pan, Age of Ultron and Maleficent, as well as current students who can provide an insight into the various courses The Iver Academy offers. Also on hand will be the Academy’s award-winning teaching team, who together with The Iver Academy students will demonstrate a wide variety of the skills and techniques necessary for a successful career.

The open day will take place at The Iver Academy, based at Pinewood Studios at Pinewood Road, Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire, SLO ONH. The day will run from 1pm – 4pm. In order to register please click on the link in contact information.
