Willowsford Debuts Second Designer Collection

International design icon, Piet Boon, introduces Line K- Windmill collection.

Online PR News – 28-April-2016 – Ashburn, Virginia – Willowsford, a naturally planned community in Loudoun County, inspired by the county’s farming heritage, welcomes a second Line K designer collection with the Line K Windmill collection. This exclusive collection is by internationally renowned designer, Piet Boon. This is the second designer collection offered at Willowsford, and the only offering of the Line K Windmill collection in the country.

Line K was born of a collaboration between Boon and Ara Hovnanian, president and CEO of K. Hovnanian Homes, one of Willowsford’s current builders. The Line K collection was launched two years ago at Willowsford to huge accolades and success. Now Boon and Hovnanian have collaborated again on this exclusive portfolio of downsized, yet equally spectacular, customized homes. The Windmill collection features 24 homes within a small enclave in The Greens Village at Willowsford. Homes start in the low $800s.

“Piet Boon took the constructs of the classical farmhouse and expertly reduced them to simple forms outside and sleek spaces inside. This is a collection that combines artistic design with functionality and livability,” explained Stacey Kessinger, vice president of marketing at Willowsford. “This collection maintains a level of sophistication that separates it from everything else you’ve ever seen in Virginia, and it does so on a smaller scale than the larger Line K portfolio homes.”

Boon worked with some of the unique design elements of the Line K collection and scaled the Windmill collection to bring sophistication and customizable floorplans to homes that are smaller than Line K but provide 3,091 to 4,029 square feet of artful living. These homes are a modern interpretation of the historically inspired architecture that Willowsford is known for.

“This collection is a great complement to the traditional architecture that will continue to grace Willowsford, because it shares the same lineage,” added Kessinger.

“The Windmill collection is, yet another, refreshing portfolio. The homes are different and inspirational,” said Hovnanian. “Piet pays careful attention to every single detail from wood flooring to cabinet pulls to faucets, tubs and everything else. His close attention to detail and design is apparent in every home.”

Willowsford is a unique community with many amenities that have been built upfront.
