CD Redding Construction renovates a larger space for Willamette Valley Pie Company's continued growth.
Online PR News – 15-April-2016 – Salem/OR – When Willamette Valley Pie Company, a manufacturer of pies, cobblers, and other related desserts utilizing local Willamette Valley fruit, outgrew their existing facility, CD Redding Construction was chosen to renovate their newly purchased larger space in Silverton, Oregon. With a larger freezer, more space for packaging and production, a bigger office, and an improved loading dock, Willamette Valley Pie Co. now has the room it needs to continue to expand into new markets.
Willamette Valley Pie Company chose to repurpose an existing building in Silverton, which meant the current space required significant changes to fit their specifications. CD Redding, with their history of working on a variety of food processing projects, from Meduri Farms to Don Pancho Tortilla Plant to winery facilities, was the perfect fit for the rebuild Willamette Valley Pie Co. needed.
“Each food processing project is different, but what makes them all interesting is they tend to be more sophisticated and complex than other projects,” says CD Redding Construction project manager Jeremy Kuenzi. “Understanding the pieces that Willamette Valley Pie Co. needed, how they work together, and then fitting everything – labor, design, materials – into a budget that works for them is the puzzle we piece together.”
With the design expertise of Food Facility Engineering Inc. and construction by CD Redding, Willamette Valley Pie Company now has over 60,000 square feet of space to expand their production area, packaging line, oven room, and freezer space. Their new, custom-built 8500 square foot freezer maintains temperatures as low as -10 degrees Fahrenheit. Five new jobs have already been created to support the growing business. Planned expansion space allows for additional future production and business growth.
“This is the kind of work that we love doing,” remarked Cory Redding, owner of CD Redding Construction, “helping a locally started, family owned business expand into a new space that will work for them now and as they continue to grow in the future.”
