Online PR News – 08-October-2010 – – Kvaser AB is pleased to announce that Schleissheimer"s CanEasy software environment now supports Kvaser Controller Area Network (CAN) hardware interfaces.
CanEasy is a Windows based CAN and LIN-bus analysis and test environment that is used in system development, from the R&D stage through to production. The software records and analyses complex and time-critical messages between control units, displaying results graphically or as a continuous trace analysis. This data is used to create simulation models that emulate the behaviour of the system under analysis (remaining bus simulation). CanEasy is popular in the automotive industry, but is widely applicable elsewhere, including industrial and medical systems development.
Kvaser offers a complete family of bus interfaces and data loggers for CAN and related networking technologies. Catering to distributed embedded control systems in each and every sector, a wide product range encompasses several different platforms, including wireless, USB, PCMCIA, PCI, PCI Express and PC/104-plus.
Commented Lars-Berno Fredriksson, president of Kvaser: "Like Kvaser, Schleissheimer is committed to providing open solutions that ensure easy toolchain integration, allowing engineers to concentrate on the job in hand rather than worrying about whether their hardware works with a particular software environment. Hence, we are delighted to be working with Schleissheimer to ensure interoperability between their CanEasy software environment and our hardware."
Added Hans-Joachim Schleissheimer, CEO of Schleissheimer: "We want to offer a large choice of hardware interfaces for our analysis and testing tool CanEasy - starting with easy single-channel cards to multi-channel high-speed interfaces for mixed CAN and LIN environments. With Kvaser we have found an international hardware provider who fulfills these expectations and who can offer support to new clients outside of our key market in Germany."
