TI announces its strategic partnership with the TeleMental Health Institute to research and develop evidence-based training materials and resources

With its focus on developing free and low-cost best practice content for webinars and courses, TI will enable TMHI offer educational events and free services to the behavioral community of professionals and the people they serve. By combining their innovative technology with professional training from TMHI, TI will be expanding its efforts to bring the best of all worlds to providers who want to leverage the power of technology to expand their programs and assure best practices. By encouraging offering support services through TMHI, TI is doing its part to educate the many uninformed professionals who might not be aware of federal, state and professional association standards and guidelines related to using technology for all health care across distance.

As both the CEO of TI and Executive Director of TMHI, Marlene M. Maheu, PhD explained, "We have developed TI to support and assist TMHI as the world's leader in risk management training for telemental health. We have formed TI to allow for increased focus on obtaining grants and donations from groups seeking tax-deductible ways to contribute to the effort of assisting behavioral providers who wish to be compliant with legal, ethical and clinical requirements when shifting their work environment from an in-person setting to a virtual office.
