New Naturopathic Practice Opens in Stamford, CT

Alternative Health Approach Holds Many Answers for Patients

Online PR News – 26-February-2016 – Stamford, CT – Those searching for effective, alternative medical treatments for everything from digestive issues and anxiety to chronic disease will be happy to learn that a new naturopathic practice has opened in Stamford, CT. Revitalize Wellness Center, LLC, with Nina Manipon, ND, licensed naturopathic physician at the helm, is taking new patients at 76 Progress Drive, Medical Suite 218K.

“We are a naturopathic medical practice and our focus is on serving families, working moms and working professionals,” says Manipon. Dr. Manipon treats patients for the basic cold, flu, and seasonal allergies as well as for a range of conditions that includes thyroid disorders, metabolic syndrome, diabetes and chronic pain. She has extensive experience in women’s health.

Naturopathy in its current form has been around since the late 1800s. Naturopathic medicine focuses on optimizing health and treating the person as a whole by assessing physical, mental and environmental factors to name a few. Dr. Manipon’s focus is on understanding all these factors to produce an individualized treatment plan. As a naturopathic physician she is skilled in a variety of treatment options which include clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, acupuncture and homeopathy.

Naturopathic physicians undergo rigorous academic and clinical training. Manipon received her medical degree from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ and completed a general family practice residency at The University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree from Villanova University.

Dr. Manipon had recent success with a patient who was on a plethora of different medications for polycystic ovarian syndrome, high cholesterol, hypertension and insomnia. Manipon looked in depth at the woman’s lab reports and blood sugar analysis to discover that the woman was actually diabetic and drinking too much coffee. Dr. Manipon offered dietary and nutritional counseling, specific supplementation, and exercise. As a result of her in-depth analysis and approach, the patient was able to decrease her daily medications from 5 to 2, improve her sleep quality and enhance weight loss.

“My practice is truly about focusing on the root causes of illness and resolving any underlying symptoms with the right diet, nutrition and reducing stress levels,” she says. And while treatment options are critical, it is also Dr. Manipon’s patient centered approach and the amount of time she takes with each patient (the first visit is 90 minutes) to fully understand, listen and access their concerns that makes for successful outcomes. This all begins with a complimentary 10 minute phone or in person consultation to assess a patient’s concerns and to see if the patient and Dr. Manipon are a good match.

“The greatest compliment I can receive are patient referrals for their own family members. They’ve entrusted me with their care and it’s an honor and privilege to be able to provide the same quality of care for their loved ones.”

Dr. Manipon will be a guest speaker for Wellness Wednesday on March 23, 2016 at Halo Studios in New Canaan, CT from 1-2pm. She will give an overview about Naturopathic Medicine and it's unique benefits. The event is free and she encourages those who are looking to learn more about Naturopathic Medicine and how it will help them achieve optimal health.

Nina Manipon, ND, completed her medical training from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, (SCNM), a four-year program in Tempe, Arizona with a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine and completed a highly competitive residency in general family practice at the University of Bridgeport's Naturopathic Medical Clinic where she focused on Women's Health. She is licensed to practice medicine as a Naturopathic Physician in both Arizona and Connecticut and in New Jersey where she is a Naturopathic Wellness Consultant.
